Keyboard player Bugge Wesseltoft is a pioneer of the trendsetting Norwegian jazz scene and founder of the CD label Jazzland. His futuristic jazz appeals to listeners of dance, rock and electronica. With Jazzland Community he presents three promising artists whose performances overlap, starting with the adventurous saxophone player Håkon Kornstad. Singer Mari Kvien Brunvoll forms a one-man orchestra with the help of loops and samples. The trio of violin player Ola Kvernberg mixes the subtlety of gipsy jazz with raw, Hendrix-like electric playing.
Bimhuis Restaurant opens at 18:30. After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
