Jazzfest Amsterdam, ‘undoubtedly the best jazz festival in Amsterdam’ (het Parool) is known for special new combinations of young talents and established names from different genres. As a preview of the edition of JazzFest on March 18 2023, we presents a three-part mini-festival with Ernst Reijseger, Ketija Ringa & Chaerin Im, Anna Serierse and Mo van der Does’ Motet.
Ernst Reijseger, Ketija Ringa & Chaerin Im
The Jonge Makers of Jazzfest 2023 – South Korean pianist Chaerin Im and Latvian flute player Ketija Ringa- Karahona will perform their recently composed music that explores the colours and intricacies of a special trio line-up – flute, piano and cello. They will be joined by the cello legend Ernst Reijseger, playing together in this setting for the first time.
Anna Serierse, Breno Viricimo & Daniel de Moraes
Due to circumstances Anna Serierse and Breno Viricimo can’t perform. Femke Smit and Lucas Santana will replace them.
The Dutch Anna Serierse, Brazilian Breno Viricimo and the Uruguan Daniel De Moraes met each other through the Brazilian Youtube channel Olaiá Music and since then they play together often, in different formations. Unique for this night they pay hommage to one of their most beloved Brazilian composers: Djavan!
