Joe Cohn, the son of singer Marylin Moore and tenor saxophonist Al Cohn, has made a name for himself as an exceptional guitarist in the traditional jazz style. He played with arry Allen, Artie Shaw and Zoot Sims and tonight he is the guest soloist with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. Preceding its Japanese tour the orchestra presents a new CD, Silk Rush, with compositions by guitarist Jesse van Ruller. Tonight the Bimhuis cafe-restaurant will be serving a buffet menu instead of its usual a-la-carte menu (€ 15, from 18.30). Reservations recommended: 020-7882158.
