JAZZ ORCHESTRA OF THE CONCERTGEBOUW & JAVIER GIROTTO

The Argentinean, Berklee trained saxophonist Javier Girotto, now residing in Italy, made a big impression on the Bimhuis audience this year when he appeared with accordionist Luciano Biondini. Girotto combines contemporary jazz with the elegance and melancholy of the tango, like in ‘Argentina: escenas en big band’, that he recently recorded in Rome with the Parco della Musica Jazz Orchestra. Tonight the program has its European premiere outside Italy. Instead of the regular a la carte menu there will be a buffet at the Bimhuiscafé-restaurant, from 7pm, euro 15.
