Jan van Duikeren is one of the most in-demand trumpet players in The Netherlands at present. He has toured the entire globe with Candy Dulfer, accompanied famous artists with the Metropole Orchestra and played on CDs by Paul Weller, Gare Du Nord and Trijntje Oosterhuis. Now he takes the spotlight as a soloist with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. This big band’s latest claim to fame is the national Edison Jazz Award 2010 for their album Blues for the Date, which features Van Duikeren.
