Upcoming jazz musicians of the new generation are invited to perform with ‘the best big band in The Netherlands’ (AD). Featuring string ensemble Fuse, known as the house band of Podium Witteman.
Top jazz talents are offered the opportunity to perform their music with Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw (JOC) in Rhythm Changes, the concert series led by conductor and arranger Rob Horsting. This edition features string ensemble Fuse.
Amsterdam string formation Fuse became widely known as the house band of the television show Podium Witteman and through appearances on the talkshow DWDD. Fuse prefers rhythmic works by Bartók, Frank Zappa and Dave Brubeck alongside music by Shostakovich, Ellington and Coltrane. The selection made by Fuse will be arranged by the JOC.
