Party time! The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw led by Henk Meutgeert starts her 11th Bimhuis season with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Fonds voor de Scheppende Toonkunst and the 60th anniversary of Donemus. On these occasions the Jazz Orchestra offers a special view on several decades of Dutch music history with eleven guest soloists: From Misha Mengelberg to Eric Vloeimans, from Theo Loevendie to Oene van Geel, in compositions of a series of composers, from Willem van Manen to Martin Fondse. To top off the party, the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw presents their new album Riffs & Rhythms with works of leader Henk Meutgeert, recorded live at the Bimhuis.
