Swing and bop sound fresh and timeless in the hands of pianist, arranger and composer Antonio Ciacca. As the Director of Programming of Jazz at Lincoln Center he works closely with Wynton Marsalis, artistic director of the New York based institute. Ciacca grew up in Bologna and has played with saxophonists Steve Grossman and Steve Lacy. His compositions and arrangements will be played by Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, which was honoured with the Edison award for best Dutch jazz album of 2010.
