This fall sees the release of the new album Crossroads by the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, ushering in a new era for the orchestra led by main conductor Dennis Mackrel, former leader of the Count Basie Orchestra. At the BIMHUIS, Crossroads will be presented with various soloists including (bass)clarinetist Joris Roelofs and guitarist Martijn van Iterson.

Crossroads contains nine compositions by various band members: Martijn van Iterson, Joris Roelofs, Ilja Reijngoud, Simon Rigter en Jorg Kaaij and co-conductor Rob Horsting. The arrangements are created by Dennis Mackrel, Rob Horsting, Henk Meutgeert and three international guest arrangers: Michael Abene and Ed Partyka, both from the United States, and Vellu Halkosalmi from Finland.
