JAZZ ORCHESTRA OF THE CONCERTGEBOUW & RICK MARGITZA

‘The best, most versatile and swingingest big band in The Netherlands’ (AD), the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, regularly brings renowned guests to the Bimhuis. This month it welcomes Rick Margitza, who first made waves in the Miles Davis group op 1987/88. The Paris-based Detroiter has recorded three albums for Blue Note and has written music for symphony orchestra. ‘Margitza’s sound… has edge and a center. It also has lyric warmth. 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free
entrance).
