The Jasper Blom Quartet featuring Jesse van Ruller, Martijn Vink and Frans van der Hoeven has grown into ‘one of the finest jazz bands in The Netherlands’ (de Volkskrant) in the last five years. Challenging interplay and energetic improvisations always support the melodic and harmonically refined compositions by tenor saxophonist and band leader Blom. Guest soloist is Marco Tamburini, the remarkably versatile Italian trumpet player who has performed with Mingus Big Band as well as Luciano Pavarotti.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
