After his unique Bimhuis concert on September 29 (as part of the Output Festival), this time, master guitarist and composer Jan Akkerman will perform with his own band. Akkerman (60) has been playing the guitar for over half a century but seems not to be impressed by his international ‘guitar god’ status. He never ceases to experiment with new devices and guitars and when it comes to his playing, he keeps looking for new forms, not bothered by any boundaries. Tonight he will play one electric and one acoustic set.
