JACK DEJOHNETTE GROUP

Jack DeJohnette became a legend as the drummer in such breakthrough bands, as Miles Davis’ group circa Bitches Brew and the Keith Jarrett Standards Trio. As the band leader of Special Edition and Directions he mixed jazz with soul, rock, avant-garde and non-Western music. In his new band he plays compositions from that time, with Rudresh Mahanthappa on alto saxophone and David Fiuczynski on double neck guitar. ‘Jack DeJohnette [is] one of the most important musicians in the last 40 years of jazz’ (New York Times).
