IZALINE CALISTER MARIPOSA

‘Izaline writes history at the Bimhuis’, was the headline of the NRC Handelsblad about Izaline’s debut concert here, over two years ago. Since then, she toured the whole world with her ‘dreamteam’ of Antillean jazz musicians and the band has really grown. ‘Mariposa’ is an extention of the route they took. Sometimes subdued, then stirring up passions with a mixture of the traditional music of the island of Curaçao and jazz.
