Turkish singer/saz player İsmail Altunsaray is an innovator of bozlak, the music style related to flamenco. He will perform with a 5-piece band.

İsmail Altunsaray is a contemporary performer of bozlak, the Turkish folk style reminiscent of flamenco in its intense emotional vocal performance and virtuoso string playing. İsmail brought flamenco and bozlak closer together, for example in his internationally acclaimed concerts series with Paco Peña, Miguel Ortega and Yeyé de Cadíz. The singer and saz player also performed with famous Turkish musicians such as Erkan Oğur, Erdal Erzincan and Cengiz Özkan. Previous performances in Amsterdam include an enthusiastically received appearance at the Concertgebouw.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 till 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
