Trumpet player Ibrahim Maalouf creates very personal music, marked both by the beauty and the violence of his native Lebanon. Maalouf aims straight for the soul of the listener, which puts him in the same class as his Dutch colleague Eric Vloeimans. He recently finished an album trilogy and besides his solo career he performs with Sting, Vanessa Paradis and many French artists of name. His fabulous technique allows him to cover a wide emotional range, from the charming themes of Chopin and Michael Jackson to his surprising passion for heavy metal.

The concert is without intermission (1 long set).
