Ava, Anita, Marilyn, Marlene, Brigitte, Romy and Juliette: these goddesses of the big screen have kept audiences enchanted down the years. The ensemble I Compani pays tribute to the divas and the films in which they starred. Scintillating scenes from 100 years of film history are illustrated with live music, featuring wind, strings and a bandoneon player. The composition Diva Dolorosa by Loek Dikker is dedicated to Italian diva films (1914-1925). The other pieces are written by band leader Bo de Graaf and Nino Rota.
