HRISTYA V NAMYSTI

The vocal of composer and singer Kristina Kovalyova is soulful, expressive, and poetic at the same time. The project ‘’Hristya v Namysti” is a direct reference to Kristina’s childhood: its music is woven from memories, folk songs, lullabies and fairytales she was told by her grandparents. Being inspired by folklore and the mythology of Ukrainian culture, Kristina lays the bridge between Ukrainian folk music and jazz in her compositions, creating a unique musical combination. She draws mesmerizing weaves and ornaments using her voice as an instrument. On the stage Kristina creates an incredible atmosphere with her powerful charisma and immediacy, immersing the listener in her magical world.

IMPERFECT BREAD

All hailing from various corners of Europe, the members of Imperfect Bread bonded over their shared love of world music. The band plays the original compositions of British drummer/composer Rod Oughton, who has been primarily influenced by his travels to Brazil, Cuba and East Africa. A setlist can contain anything and everything, from infectious Samba grooves to outlandish free improvisation – expect the unexpected!
