With his fascinating self-made music machines and bizarre vocal style Peter Zegveld has been creating children’s music theatre for years. Hotel Universum is a show for adult audiences. Zegveld and company put forward an imaginative proposition: what would happen if you could lead several lives at the same time? Sound, cartoons and acting are intertwined in an exciting story based on the book Suite à l’hôtel Crystal by Olivier Rolin. Big and rough are alternated with sensitive and touching; humour, absurdity and slapstick with astonishment. With the cooperation of multi-instrumentalist Thijs van der Poll, the former in-house composer of theatre company Orkater.
