The 18-piece collective Secret Society of rising star Darcy James Argue causes a sensation with exciting, cosmopolitan music which brings together big band jazz and contemporary music. Their new show Brooklyn Babylon was a great success in New York and will now have its Dutch premiere. Brooklyn Babylon is an urban fable which unfolds wordlessly. Haunting animations and live painting by graphic and comic artist Danijel Zezelj serve as guidelines for this musical story inspired by ‘steam punk’, a genre in which the age of steam and science fiction are intertwined.
