Denis Gäbel-tenor saxophone, Sanne van Hek-trumpet, Franz van Chossy-piano, Gavin Fallow-double bass Klaas van Donkersgoed-drums
NEW GENERATION BIG BAND

According to music journalist Martin Schouten from newspaper Het Parool, the future of jazz was provided for after he heard Denis Gäbel play on a jam session somewhere in Amsterdam. The Conservatory of Amsterdam creates the opportunity for Denis to enter the spotlights with his own quintet, performing original pieces and work by others. Several ex-students of the Conservatory (Robbert Scherpenisse, Remco Keijzer, Herwin Lokken) founded the New Generation Big Band to be able to play any music they like: funky, groovy and solid swinging jazz with a lively presentation, original repertoire, home made arrangements and exciting soloists.
