You could easily call this a unique combination: harmonica and string quartet. Hermine Deurloo and Zapp4 play a varied set full of grooves, improvisation and interaction.

The harmonica is still not very well established in the world of jazz, and it’s even more unique in combination with a string quartet. Hermine Deurloo invites Zapp4 for an intriguing journey through a wide variety of styles. At the Bimhuis they will perform music of their new collaborative album Welling.

The music is a mixture of melancholy and surprise, between compositions by Jaco Pastorius, Ali Farka Touré and compositions by Oene van Geel, Hermine Deurloo, Jeffrey Bruinsma en Jasper Le Clercq.The repertoire has been especially arranged for this ensemble and is full of grooves, improvisation, and interaction.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
