Drummer and visual artist Han Bennink is known all over the world. His instrument is not just his drum kit, but everything he encounters. From chairs and desks to suitcases and tables. With his drumsticks he evens plays his own cheeks, while playing one of his small drums with his shoes. Do you want to hear from a legendary drummer why he likes drumming so much? Come to this concert and open your ears and eyes. Bennink plays in many different styles, from swing jazz to the most adventurous improvisations. The first percussion instrument he played was the kitchen chair in his home. Later on his dad gave him real drums, but he has never lost his love for unexpected sounds. Han Bennink will bring along two fantastic musicians: Guus Janssen will play piano and Michael Moore clarinet.
