HAN BENNINK & CATS ON KEYS

Throughout his career Han Bennink has regularly performed duos with pianists. The most adventurous drummer in The Netherlands turned 70 this spring and celebrated this with a five day festival in the United States. The festive atmosphere will be continued at the Bimhuis with a unique night on which Bennink will perform with six pianists: Uri Caine, Oscar Jan Hoogland, Ernst Glerum (piano!), Gerard Bouwhuis, Veryan Weston and Chino Shuichi. ‘Few drummers can swing as hard as Bennink (Parool).
