The bebop of Lennie Tristano and ragged compositions of Bud Powell are the main points of reference for the perfectly balanced swing of this quartet that includes Jimmy Halperin, who studied with Tristano. The American saxophone player is accompanied by guitarist Axel Hagen (Metropole Orchestra), bassist Thomas Winter (Robert Rook Trio) and drummer Joost Kesselaar.
