For decades the Globe Unity Orchestra has been bringing together the most renowned musicians from the international improvisation scene. The rare performances of this ensemble are unique opportunities to see wayward soloists from several generations and countries on the same stage. The ensemble’s collective improvisations have much in common with the ecstatic free jazz of Albert Ayler and John Coltrane, as well as with the European avant-garde music of the last century. ‘Essential listening for anyone with even a passing interest in European free improvisation.’ (Jazz Times).
