GLERUM OMNIBUS
Ernst Glerum-piano, double bass, Clemens van der Feen-double bass, Owen Hart-drums
It is a well kept secret that double bass player Ernst Glerum is also a devoted pianist. In Omnibus, Glerum brings together two different settings: the piano trio and the unusual combination of two double basses with drums. He wrote several new pieces and rearranged jazz standards (like Coltrane’s ‘Naima’ and ‘Boogie Stop Shuffle’ by Mingus) for two basses. With the young, talented Clemens van der Feen, (1st prize International Bass Competition, Capbreton) Glerum shares a special love for approaching the double bass with a bow.
