‘A New Day’ is the new album by master pianist Giovanni Guidi, which was released last July on the quality label ECM Records. It is already the fourth album Guidi, who was discovered as a young pianist by trumpet legend Enrico Rava, has released on this renowned label. This time with a special guest; tenor saxophonist James Brandon Lewis. 

 On the opening night of our anniversary month in October, the saxophonist played a fiery duo set with Chad Taylor. Now, however, he will present himself in a completely different way. The typical spherical ECM sound of Guidi’s trio combined with Lewis’ saxophone playing produces an exciting compromise that continues to fascinate.
