GILAD HEKSELMAN TRIO
Gilad Hekselman gitaar, Joe Martin bas, Jeff Ballard drums
Guitarist Gilad Hekselman belongs to the same scene as Anat Cohen, Ari Hoenig and Avishai Cohen: young Israeli-born jazz musicians from New York who are conquering the world. Hekselman’s narrative melodies sound captivating and timeless. Guitarists compare him to Pat Metheny and Kurt Rosenwinkel, because of his clean tone and intense improvisations. ‘A guitarist with unusual command of touch and dynamics… fluent in a diverse, enthralling jazz vocabulary’ (New York Times).
After the concert, in the cafe, a solo concert by pianist Dave Burrell.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158).
