FUHLER / BENNINK / DE JOODE

Cor Fuhler-piano, keyolin, organ, melodica, Han Bennink-drums, Wilbert de Joode-bass

In 1999 the Volkskrant already wrote: ‘ this trio shows how spontaneous improvised music can sound when there is an almost tangible interaction between the musicians, and the audience is invited to think along with the structured signals. Fuhler excels in rhythmic power, subtlety and his craving for unusual shades’. He added a keyolin to his arsenal of instruments consisting (prepared) piano, organ and melodica; the rough bass lines of van De Joode and Bennink’s blissful swing remained untouched.
