FRANCIEN VAN TUINEN & JESSE VAN RULLER MUZYKA

For her second project in which she collaborates with Jesse van Ruller, the Dutch leading vocalist Francien van Tuinen was inspired by a poem of Boris Pasternak. Besides being a writer, Pasternak was also a composer and his aim was to merge various art forms. Van Ruller arranged pieces by Brahms, Ravel, Satie and Skrjabin, van Tuinen wrote lyrics to the compositions. The surprising arrangements for the unusual instrumentation of strings and percussion refer to jazz and folk as well as to the passionate flamenco, fado and tango.
