Vincent Henar-bass, Efraïm Trujillo-tenor saxophone, Michael Simon-trumpet, Robin van Geerke-keyboards, Andro Biswane-guitar, Carlo Hoop-percussons, Roel Calister-drums
Led by bass guitarist Vincent Henar, the Surinam ensemble Fra Fra Sound, founded in 1980, has developed into a band that combined kaseko, kawini and winti with hard bop into a broadly oriented institute that brings out all facets of the Afro-Caribbean music. Collaborations with Lester Bowie and David Murray, but also with prominent Malinese artists illustrate their versatility. Tonight the group presents its new album Dya So.
