Alto saxophone player Lars Dietrich, bassist Ruben Samama and guitarist Reinier Baas and will be competing tonight for the Deloitte Jazz Award, the incentive prize for talented jazz musicians resident in the Netherlands at the outset of their international careers. This is the ninth time the 20,000 Euro prize will be awarded. The finalists will be accompanied on stage by the trio of bassists and former prize winner Stefan Lievestro. Jury members are Benjamin Herman, Amanda Kuyper, Jan Menu, Jacobien Tamsma and Bert Vuijsje. Tonight’s MC is Wilfried de Jong.
