Pianist Fergus McCreadie has earned rave reviews all over the world with Cairn, the first album with his new trio. From impressionistic miniatures to Scottish folk, and from hard swinging modal jazz to playful melodies: McCreadie’s compositions are as original and contemporary as the improvisations of his trio. He just released his latest album ‘Forest Floor’ on Edition Records.
Fergus McCreadie was a finalist in the BBC Jazz Musician of the Year competition in 2018 and he has won many awards in his home country. After his solo album Turas, renowned British label Edition Records immediately approached the Scottish talent to record his trio. This new formation, which includes bassist David Bowden and drummer Stephen Henderson, has already performed at many international festivals.
