For over ten years, French jazz pianist Elie Dufour has formed an acoustic trio with double bassist Yann Phayphet and drummer Marc Michel. Their music is aesthetically pleasing as well as surprising. For example, they have explored the world of Indian vocal music on their most recent album Sadhana. This successful fusion will now be continued on stage, with singer Varijashree Venugopal.

Varijashree Venugopal is the daughter of respected Indian musicians. At the age of four she already showed an impressive knowledge of Indian music. At the age of seven she gave her first performance at a prestigious venue. She was tutored in Carnatic music and learned how to play the flute. She regularly plays concerts as a duo with her father, Vidwan Sri H.S. Venugopal, who’s also a flutist.
