Estrella Acosta-vocals, Carlos Irarragorri-tres, guitar, vocals, Pedro Luis Pardo-bass, Jorge Martinez Galán-piano, Armando Vidal-percussion, vocals, Liber Torriente-percussion, Jan Luc van Eendenburg-percussion, Joe Rivera-trumpet, Mark Alban Lotz-flute

With ‘Alma Guajira’, Estrella and her Cuban group take us on a journey to the countryside of the Cuban region Matanzas. The ‘musica guajira’, with Spanish, as well as African backgrounds, is festive music played at gatherings of family and friends to sing, dance, eat and improvise. This evening promises to be a great party with a fine gang of musicians that knows how to swing. Listen especially to what the tres can do in the hands of guest guitarist Carlos Irarragorri and experience the ‘alma guajira’, the ‘soul’ of the Cuban country.
