Guitarist and composer Ernesto Snajer is recognized in his homeland Argentina as an important innovator of tango music. He enriches traditional tango with Latin jazz and rural folk music, such as zamba and chacareras. In the 1980s he performed at the Bimhuis with the band Semblenza, which was then popular in Europe. His 2007 CD Guitarreros was voted best album of the year in Argentina.
