French trumpet player Erik Truffaz always looks ahead. Since the 1990s he has been mixing jazz with contemporary beats and timbres, like his example Miles Davis and his kindred spirit Nils-Petter Molvaer. Truffaz embraced electronica, hip-hop and Indian music, collaborating with such artists as Bugge Wesseltoft, Talvin Singh and Ed Harcourt. On his new Blue Note album El Tiempo de la Revolución he has found an organic balance between all these influences. Special guest at this concert is the talented Swiss singer-songwriter Anna Aaron.v
