Once again, Eric Vloeimans finds himself in an unexpected and innovative setting. Following Gatecrash and Kytecrash, he reached out to four music giants with whom he founded a new electric band named HOTSPOT. Cheerful, colorful, and no nonsense: that’s how you can best describe the music. A supermix of wonderful melodies and danceable grooves.

Vloeimans avoids categories and barriers. It’s the joy of music that unites his projects, which can include all kinds of influences, from Pat Metheny and Clifford Brown to sounds from the Balkan and the Caribbean. His work is characterized by a melodical and lyrical strength, and a characteristic sound, either bright and glowing, or velvety and whispery.
