Trumpet player Eric Vloeimans belongs to the most versatile jazz musicians of the Netherlands, One of the big surprises at VPRO’s Jazz op het Dak Festival 2007 was Gatecrash, in which Vloeimans combines powerful, inspiring solos with electronic effects. ‘Gatecrash balances on the fine line of kitsch in hallucinating minimal music with an enormous climax’.
