World famous Italian trumpeter Enrico Rava enters a new, energetic phase with his youngest band, with music from their recent album Wild Dance (ECM).
From brooding ballads to fiery up-tempo post-bop: trumpeter Enrico Rava covers a broad range of moods with his new quartet. ‘The éminence grise of Italian jazz has retained his vitality by turning to younger musicians’, said Downbeat in the review of the recent album Wild Dance on ECM. The repertory includes new Rava compositions alongside highlights from the 1980s and 90s.
