ENRICO PIERANUNZI NEW EUROPEAN TRIO

Enrico Pieranunzi is counted among the world’s great jazz pianists. His playing combines the best of Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock: lyricism, fluent improvisations and technical perfection. His compositions have been  performed by other artists, including Chet Baker, his former employer. Pieranunzi’s style is rooted in American jazz, Debussy’s impressionism and the film music of his fellow Italians Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota. After 14 years he is back at the Bimhuis. He will perform with his New European Trio featuring two Dutchmen, double bassist Jasper Somsen and drummer Pieter Bast. ‘A true original’ (The Guardian).

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
