Emile Parisien Sextet „Louise“ ft. Theo Croker

Emile Parisien is regarded as one of the most important protagonists of contemporary jazz, in his home country France, and far abroad. At a young age, the soprano saxophonist applied at the jazz school in Marciac, home of the world famous festival Jazz in Marciac. There he learned from the greatest, including Wynton Marsalis, who guests on his album Sfumato Live.

Renowned jazz musicians from New York appear in his current sextet, with whom he recorded the album Louise, and with whom he will now perform. The title track was inspired by visual artist Louise Bourgeois, known for her sizeable spider sculptures. Furthermore, the album contains a cover by a Weather Report song, as well as compositions dedicated to Joachim Kühn and Ornette Coleman.
