ELLERY ESKELIN’S TRIO NEW YORK

In his new organ trio Ellery Eskelin plays standards; an unexpected choice from the saxophonist whose warm tenor playing could be heard in improvisations with the most forward-thinking New York musicians of the last twenty years. He came up with the idea after inheriting his mother Bobbie Lee’s Hammond organ, who had been a professional musician in the Baltimore lounge circuit.
