ELLEN ANDREA WANG TRIO

Norwegian-born Ellen Andrea Wang is a multi-talent, a double bassist who sings and writes her own songs. Because of her bright voice she has already been compared to Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones and First Aid Kit. Pop and jazz are equal values in her compositions. She will appear with pianist/keyboardist Andreas Ulvo, a renowned collaborator of Mathias Eick, and with drummer Siv Øyunn Kjenstad; she has played with Bugge Wesseltoft, among others. Ellen Andrea Wang previously performed at the BIMHUIS with Pixel. She also plays in drum legend Manu Katché’s band.
