Dance is timeless and composers have always been inspired by it. Hungry for new ways of expression composers between the two world wars took their inspiration from the Charleston and blues. Europe was caught by a vertible jazz fever, inflamed by the subversive artists of the Dada movement. The Ebony Band plays exciting works from this era, along with contemporary music. For example, the masterpiece Klotz by Guus Janssen, featuring the master himself on hi-hat.
