DUTCH JAZZ COMPETITION SEMI-FINALE 3

The Dutch Jazz Competition offers talented Dutch jazz musicians and groups the possibility to present themselves to the public, press and music industry and the chance to win a large set of prizes. The previous editions were won by Jamesz with Izaline Callister (2000), On the Line (2001) and Agog (2002). The ‘blindfolded’ jury of experts, consisting of musicians, programmers and critics, selected 18 groups in the past weeks. They will be divided over three semi-finals to compete for a place in the finals. The other semi-finals will be held on June 10 at the SJU Jazzpodium (Utrecht) and June 11 at Paradox (Tilburg). After this semi-final at the Bimhuis it will be announced which six groups will perform at the finals on July 10 at the North Sea Jazz Festival where the winning group then will be offered their own concert. http://www.dutchjazzcompetition.nl
