DUO URI CAINE/HAN BENNINK

American pianist and composer Uri Caine is a mainstay in the New York avant-garde jazz scene, in which he plays alongside musicians like John Zorn and Dave Douglas. He is praised for his self styled renditions of music by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner and Mahler. ‘A master in pulling apart and reassembling complex melodies and rhythms’ (NRC Handelsblad). At the Bimhuis the pianist will meet drummer Han Bennink in performance for the very first time.
