DUO SEAN BERGIN & ROGÉRIO BICUDO

Their first show at Bimhuis was a hit, so Bergin and Bicudo are back. Rio de Janeiro, Durban and Amsterdam are important places for guitarist Rogerio Bicudo and saxophonist Sean Bergin. Both musicians have been living in Amsterdam for decades. Bicudo grew up in Rio where he learned classical guitar music, which he now fuses with popular Brazilian songs from his youth. Bergin, born in Durban, has always been captivated with South African jazz. Their influences merge on the recent CD, ‘A Tale of Three Cities.’
