DULFER/BOWIE BAND

It was the explicit wish of Bowie to put Dulfer’s name first to this project but when it comes to their background and significance as a musician they are absolute equals. Bowie, younger brother of Lester, has experimented with free improvisation in formations like the Black Artists Group but gave his boisterous style a more solid foundation in rock and funk, especially in his own legendary group Defunkt. Just like Dulfer, he is a musician that never stops moving and is a great communicator. This is the reason that Dulfer suggested that the concert should take place in the Bimhuis cafe.
